About the Mala/Rosary
About the Mala/Rosary
The Rosary is a string of 108 beads. This string of beads helps in many meditations
or chanting other vibrations.
So you don't have to pay attention to the numbers, you can just know where you are by guiding the string of beads with your finger and feeling the sizes and shapes of the beads.
It can have strings of beads of different sizes and shapes.
It can be of all colors.
You can get malas made of different materials.
For example: bone, wood, crystal stones, coral, cultured shell beads and other beads.
You can buy them, or you can even make them yourself.
You don't have to make just one mala. You can have two or more.
One for strengthening meditations, one for chakra openings, one for chakra meditations.
It can be without a pendant or with a pendant.
You can use many different levels, since the colors of our chakras are also very diverse.
It doesn't have to be 108 beads, it can be 2 times 108 beads.
You can keep it in a separate jewelry box or in a bag specially designed for this purpose.
Never step on it, never sit on it, never throw it, etc.
Treat it with respect.
You can even bless it with a consecration.
I will describe this separately how to do it.
For counting chakra openings, chakra meditations, for counting harmful meditations .
The etymology of Mala, 108 The syllable Ma denotes the Feminine, formless energy, the Serpent Power, while La denotes the Earth, the physical body. Thus Mala [an anagram of Lama] is the embodiment or materialization of the serpent power, hence it is translated as Purification.
From 12×9 we get 108, the completion of the 12 steps of the Magnum Opus, and the hidden thirteenth step.
The other numerological interpretation is as follows: 108=18 [From zero] which is 2×9, the union of Siva and Shakti, the Male and Female aspects of the Soul. Thus the completion of the Magnum Opus.
Which hand should you hold the Mala in?
Some traditions say that it is gender-neutral which hand you use to hold the Mala, with women using their left hand and men using their right.
Other traditions say that you should always use your left hand, as the left side of the body is the receptive side.
Some sources say that you should use your dominant hand.
In my experience, it is fair to say that it is gender-neutral, but I recommend that everyone experiment to see what works best for them. The role and significance of the fingers used Each finger has different acupressure points that affect different parts of your brain, mind, and psyche. This is how Mudras, the yogic hand positions, work.
Depending on which finger you hold the Mala on, you will achieve a different effect.
• Index finger – Jupiter [Wisdom, Growth, Development, Overcoming limitations.]
• Middle finger – Saturn [Discipline, Perseverance, Routine, Grounding]
• Ring finger – Sun [Energy, Strength, Health, Self-confidence, Nervous system]
• Little finger – Mercury [Communication, Relationships, Intelligence]
Using the Mala: Place the eye after the Guru Eye [the central bead at the end of the Mala, you can't miss it] on the second knuckle of the finger corresponding to your goal, then after each mantra vibration, roll the eyes with your thumb, counting where you are. After a little practice, you won't even need to pay attention to the movement, thanks to which you will progress much faster, with more results.
After you reach the Guru Eye and are done, concentrate on the energy you have awakened and repeat your affirmation at least 9 times, then meditate on the energy for a few minutes, visualizing your goal.
A few examples of different works:
-Goal: To open up to the energy of a God.
*Work: Using your little finger [communication] vibrate the given name of God while visualizing His seal, face, etc.
-Purpose: Strengthening the Nervous System/Aura.
*Work: Using your ring finger, vibrate the Sowilo Rune while visualizing it flashing.
-Goal: Overcoming obstacles. *Work: Using the index finger, vibrate: Munyaka/Ansuz/Üruz.
What kind of Mala should I use, how do I make my own Rosary?
When buying, make sure you buy a quality product, rather than throwing your money away on a junk product that will break after the fourth time.
The Mala you buy should have 3 counters, meaning every 27th bead should be larger than the others, so you can keep track of where you are while you work. These Malas are best for white magic.
For black magic, you will need a separate Mala, and you should keep the two separate.
For this purpose, it is better to make your own Rosary so that every ninth bead is larger, has a different shape, etc. This way you can use it even if you work with a short repetition rate. The more you use a tool, the stronger it will be. If your tool is versatile, you will use it more often.
Different gemstones and other materials have different effects, but this is secondary. If you put a lot of effort into it, you can research the properties of different gemstones and then buy them accordingly.
Ultimately, it's worth getting at least two Malas, one for White and one for Black magic.
However, how many and what you make is up to you, limited only by your creativity and resources.
In the following I will give you some pictures so you can imagine.
You can buy it at karmaguru.hu. Wherever you buy it, it is usually blessed or consecrated by a Buddhist or Christian. If you do not follow these spiritual traditions or religions, you will need to consecrate it specifically for yourself, which I will share later.
