The Gunas

The Gunas

A Világmindenségnek [Brahman] két aspektusa van

The Universe [Brahman] has two aspects. -The Man [Purusha] -constant stillness, consciousness, form [Siva in Tantra]

-And the Feminine [Prakriti] -Potential energy, formless sound. [In Tantra, Shakti]
Prakriti is made up of the 50 sounds of the Sanskrit ABC, the 50 petals of the body of Devi [Goddess], which is expressed in the mantra AUM.

Prakriti has 3 basic qualities, these are the 3 Gunas:

•  Sattva:  Pure, Spiritual Principle - Divine, Superhuman. Rajas: Active, fiery, transformative quality - Human

•  Tamas:   Dark, unchanging, static - Animalistic This is the true Trinity, which has countless [symbolic] manifestations: AUM: A [Sattva] U [Rajas] M [Tamas] Brahma, Vishnu, Sival

•  Heaven, Earth, Underworld . Etc.

In the microcosm, the Soul forms three levels:

Animalistic/Instinctive

I, Conscious I,

Superconscious/Divine Self. Freud Id, Ego

Superego thesis of this sublime

The degraded, Judaized version of the Spiritual Concept.

The 3 Nadis and the 7 Chakras are also under the rule of the Gunas.

Ida [Sattva] Pingala [Rajas] Sushumna [Tamas]

The lower two Chakras are Tamas, the middle three are Rajas, and the upper two are Sattva Guna. If a Guna is strengthened, the Chakras and Nadis it rules are also strengthened and vice versa.

For example, strengthening the Rajas Guna is associated with strengthening the Pingala Nadi and the Solar, Heart and Throat Chakras. If you strengthen these three Chakras, the Pingala opens even more and the Rajas quality is strengthened, which also manifests in your personality.

Just as the 7 Chakras and 3 Nadis must be balanced for Spiritual Perfection,
balancing the 3 Gunas is also essential.

While the mantras belonging to the Elements, Planets, and Chakras are known, those belonging to the Gunas are hidden to those who do not know the Symbolic Tradition.

Sacrifice carries the same meaning. The Gods are worshipped with sacred, glorifying hymns and mantras.

Our Gods and Goddesses in myths become symbols, representations of different powers and qualities, and their stories form an allegorical guide to the transformation of the Soul.

Worshipping a God or Goddess means strengthening the quality/energy that they represent - present in our Soul. Interiorized, true worship of God equals spiritual development.

A mantra assigned to a deity strengthens in us the quality that the deity represents. So all that needs to be done is to decipher which deities represent the 3 Gunas and what is the mantra assigned to them. In Tantra, the 10 Mahavidyas embody the 3 Gunas.

According to the Kamadbenu-Tantra, Tara represents Sattva, Sodasi; Bhuvanesvari; Chinnamasta represents Rajas, while Dhumavati; Matangi; Kamala and Bagala represent Tamas Guna.

Mantras for the 3 Gunas:

• Tara Mantra to strengthen Sattva Guna: AUM Tare Tuttare Tare Svaha

• Chinnamasta Mantra to strengthen Rajas Guna: AUM Srim Srim Klim Aim Vajravairochanie Haum Haum Fat Svaha

• Dhumavati Mantra to strengthen Tamas Guna: AUM Dhum Dhum Dhumavati Svaha

These are extremely powerful [and dangerous, they easily awaken the Kundalini Force] mantras, use them only at your own risk and with great caution, especially the Chinnamasta Mantra.
