Heat Generating Meditation
Heat Generating Meditation
Heat-generating meditation (Extension of the Sushumna)
The Sushumna is the line along which the kundalini ascends in the spine. It is very small in diameter. Tibetan monks, during their initiation, stripped naked, wrapped themselves in a wet sheet, and spent the night in the frozen mountains, sitting in the snow. In the morning, if the candidate passed the test, the sheet was bone dry, and the snow around the monk had melted for several feet.
The extension of the Sushumna is used to raise the body temperature and generate heat. This power can also be used in pyrokinesis (setting objects on fire with the mind).
In a trance state, visualize your Sushumna expanding up your spine as a white or red glowing light. Concentrate on this for several minutes, then extend it an inch behind your spine, concentrating on it for a few minutes. Then extend it 2 inches behind your spine. Continue in this manner until you are several feet or further away from your physical body.
This meditation generates a lot of heat if done regularly, and we can expect an increase in our body temperature.
