Opening the Wings of the Soul
1. Quiet your mind and go into a trance state.
2. Visualize your wings and feel them, and feel the energy flowing through them.
3. Breathe in for as many counts as is comfortable for you. As you inhale, hang your wings down your back, keeping them loose and free of tension.
4. Hold your breath and slowly flap your wings back and forth. Beginners should do this 3-5 times.
COMMENT:
When we first work with our wings, they won't be strong yet, so they only move slowly.
I recommend starting with 3 movements and gradually increasing the number of repetitions while holding your breath without tension. Do not hold for more than 10 counts if you are advanced, as it is not necessary.
5. As you exhale, extend your wings as high and as wide as you can, and hold them that way throughout the entire exhalation. Finally, let your wings return to their original, relaxed position.
This makes one circle. Five circles is plenty for one time. If you feel tense, do fewer circles or flap less. Don't strain yourself or your wings.
You may feel a little tension in your back muscles, and after you've been doing this for a while, feel the energy moving around you.
