Color Meditation
Color Meditation
This meditation requires you to “inhale” energy. You must be experienced in the Foundational Meditation before doing this meditation.
Unfortunately, white light is overused by Wiccans and New Agers who don't know what they are doing. These people exclude all colors except white and are therefore inexperienced in working with color. Since white contains all the colors of the spectrum, it absorbs all the colors at once, and those who cannot control it or work with it, without guidance, are left alone.
Each color represents a specific frequency of energy that most of us use every day. If someone is unable to handle each color, they often cannot use white light correctly.
White light is easy to use and great for beginners, but the problem is that it is used too much. It is very good for clearing the aura and balancing energies, and is also great for protection. White
light, when placed around a person, creates a barrier to interaction with others. This is because white light has a reflective nature. If you want to be alone, surround yourself with white light. Filling yourself with white light internally will strengthen and protect you without creating a barrier between you and others if you want social interactions.
Excessive use of white light can result in an arrogant attitude, especially in spiritual matters, and can also cause narrow-mindedness and rigidity. The end result is a lower level of spiritual development.
When an individual is proficient in the use of all colors, they can fully utilize white light.
The color meditation:
For the properties of colors, see the page titled Aura.
Get comfortable and do breathing exercises or anything else to help you focus and calm yourself before going into a trance.
Breathe in and fill yourself with a color of the spectrum with each breath, visualizing it as brighter (not lighter, but more intense) with each inhalation:
Red, blue, yellow, orange, violet, green, indigo (blue-violet, the color of the 6th chakra) or black.
This meditation can also be done after meditating on a specific chakra. You can fill yourself with the color of that chakra.
If you are new to color meditation, hold the color for 2-4 minutes. If the color makes you feel good, you can hold it longer. Those who are already accustomed to the energy of colors can hold it longer. This increase in time should be done gradually, comfortably.
All colors should be in their pure form, bright. Later, when you are more advanced, you can experiment with shades.
If a color feels negative, work your way up. Ask your mind why that is. What does this color mean to you? What do you associate with that color? This is a great way to learn more about yourself. Which colors do you find pleasant? These are the ones you have used the most in your life, to the exclusion of the others. From this information, you can filter out which chakras need more work to be at their full potential.
The most important goal in this meditation is to feel the colors. Spend some time with each color, trying to feel it. Keep written notes in your black book.
You can also meditate on the color by placing it outside of yourself and trying to feel its energy.
It is not necessary to inhale the color, especially if certain colors are unpleasant to you. Remember, if something makes you feel uncomfortable or negative, stop. When you are finished meditating, cleanse your aura with white light, this will balance the colors in your aura.
The result of meditation: you will be able to feel, control and apply colors. Each color has specific energies and will bring the results that are characteristic of that energy.
