Sound Meditation

Sound Meditation

The benefit of meditating on sounds is that it opens up more pathways in the brain. You can use any sound for this meditation, even music. Close your eyes and relax. Open your mind and try to “see” the sounds.
Sounds usually come in motion, in specific shapes, colors, and waves. The ability to see sounds is called “synesthesia.” Synesthesia is a medical term used for people who are born with the ability to see sounds and/or experience multiple senses at the same time, such as hearing colors or tasting and smelling shapes. A small percentage of people are born with synesthesia. It often fades with age, and in most cases, it only becomes prominent in childhood.

The best example of seeing sounds and cross-sensing is the use of psychedelic drugs, such as LSD. The problem with this is that drug use artificially produces synesthesia and cannot be controlled.

In drug use, the user is not in control, but the drug. In self-empowerment and magical practice, it is very important that the practitioner always be in control through his natural abilities. Addiction to strong mind-altering drugs weakens character and punctures the aura, as well as weakening the astral body. I am not talking about recreational marijuana use, but when someone becomes addicted to a strong drug and can only achieve an altered state of consciousness with it. Some mediums are known to do this.
Synesthetic people are often very powerful psychics and have high intelligence, as medical studies have shown. Psychics for the CIA and the US military have reported that when they opened their minds to psychic warfare through intense training, they experienced multiple levels of synesthesia.
Synesthesia may occur during your first sound meditation, but it may take a lot of practice. Close your eyes and notice the color, shape, and movement of the sounds. Record your experiences in a journal if you keep one. Put aside all thoughts and visions as you would in an empty meditation, and try to “see” the sound(s)/music. Over time, you can incorporate other senses into the process – What does it taste like? What does it smell like?
The most common experience is seeing sounds, but don't set any limits for yourself.
Natural synesthesia facilitates clairvoyance, clairaudience, and other psychic abilities. Synesthesia can be a very beautiful experience and provides a rewarding meditative experience. The more pathways we open in our brains and the more we strengthen them, the more we can experience and the more abilities we can gain.
We no longer use only 5-10% of our brains. To fully develop this ability, listen to a variety of music and take time every day to “see” the sounds in your environment. As with anything, the more you use this ability, the stronger it will become.
