Meditation on the Senses

Meditation on the Senses

 Easier exercises:

1. Sit comfortably, close your eyes and relax your mind.

2. Choose a sound, such as a clock ticking or a bell ringing, or any other simple sound, and concentrate on that sound for 2 minutes. Don't see any images in your head during this exercise - just use your hearing.

3. Choose a material such as velvet or carpet material or anything else and meditate on its touch for 2 minutes.

4. Choose a scent like rose, or a certain incense – or whatever you want, and focus on it for 2 minutes.

5. Choose a flavor, such as salt or sugar, honey; use something strong first and concentrate on that flavor for 2 minutes.

What is this exercise good for:

This practice develops the astral senses. If you practice this practice regularly, your astral hearing, touch, taste, and smell will become stronger.

Medium exercises:

If you can concentrate on this exercise for five minutes without interruption, you are a pro.

Gather four simple objects, such as a pen, pencil, ball, hair clip, spoon, whatever. The key is to keep it simple and easy to visualize.

1. Take the first object and focus on it for 1-2 minutes.

2. Close your eyes and visualize for 1-2 minutes.

3. Open your eyes and visualize the object floating in the air in front of you. See only the object, do not notice anything else in the room.

4. Repeat the above with the other objects.

Difficult exercises:

In this exercise, we also add sounds to the visualization. This exercise strengthens the astral senses quite well.

1. Visualize a clock on the wall and hear it tick. It can be any clock, but it's best to start with something as simple as possible. Visualize this specific clock and hear it tick. Do this for 3-4 minutes.

2. Visualize a huge bonfire and hear the flames crackle.

3. Visualize a lake, river, or ocean and hear the ripples or roar of the waves.

4. Visualize a large bonfire. Hear the crackling and feel the heat, then smell the heat. Do this for 5 minutes.

5. Visualize yourself wading through water. This could be a lake, river, or ocean. Feel the water, hear the water, and smell the water as if you were actually there. Do this for 5 minutes.

6. Visualize yourself walking barefoot on the ground. It is best to visualize yourself walking on the ground of a field, as this is very close to the element of earth. Feel the ground beneath your bare feet and hear and feel the soft breeze and smell the earth. Do this for 5 minutes.

7. Visualize yourself walking against the wind. Feel the wind blowing against your skin and hear the wind whistling in your ears. Feel the smell of fresh air blowing through you. Feel each step as you walk against the wind. Do this for 5 minutes.

8. Visualize yourself in a cold environment. Feel yourself getting cold, Feel the cold wind on your skin. For those who are familiar with snow (some of our brothers and sisters live in tropical regions, so not everyone has experienced snow yet), visualize yourself surrounded by snow and ice. Hear the crunch of snow under your feet. For those who have never encountered snow before, visualize yourself in a cold place and use all your astral senses.

9. Visualize yourself walking in the desert. Feel the scorching heat and the dry, hot air in the hot environment. Feel the sand under your feet and feel your body getting warmer and warmer. Do this exercise for 3-4 minutes, but no longer.

What are the above exercises good for:

Not only will they strengthen your astral senses, but they will also introduce you to working with the four elements (earth, air, fire, water). By invoking the elements – which we will practice in the next month of the program – we can strengthen ourselves to the point where we can withstand incredible amounts of heat, cold, and other extremes. The invocation and control of fire is an important element of pyrokinesis. By invoking the fire element we can keep ourselves warm, while by invoking the water element we can cool ourselves down if circumstances require it. The invocation of fire allowed Tibetan monks to spend the night of their initiation in the freezing mountains, naked, wrapped in a wet sheet, in a blizzard. In the morning, if the initiate passed the test, the sheet would be warm and dry, and the snow and ice in the surrounding area would have melted.
