The Granthis
The Granthis
There are three granthis (psychic knots) in the body that obstruct the path of the awakened kundalini. The granthis are called brahma, vishnu and rudra and represent the level of consciousness where the power of maya, ignorance and attachment to material things is particularly strong. Every aspirant must overcome these obstacles in order to achieve a clear passage for the rising kundalini.
Brahma granthi operates in the region of the mooladhara chakra. This means that it is associated with physical pleasures, material objects and excessive selfishness. It also includes the inherent power of tamas – negativity, lethargy, ignorance and helplessness.
Vishnu granthi works in the region of the anahata chakra. It is associated with emotional attachment and attachment to people and inner psychic visions.
This is related to the radhas – the inclination towards passion, ambition and self-confidence. Forgiveness, unforgiveness, letting go.
Rudra granthi works in the region of the ajna chakra. It is related to attachment to siddhis, psychic phenomena and the concept of ourselves as individuals. We need to give meaning to the individual ego and transcend duality to achieve further spiritual development. Arrogance, pettiness, lack of self-confidence.
